Spirit of Youth

The final performance of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ was enacted at Guildford Sunset Homes in early July, the collaboration on the Spirit of Youth project between The Guildford Shakespeare Company (GSC) has been such a success, with lots of residents getting involved and having a great time.

Spirit of Youth is an intergenerational drama project tackling social isolation within the local community. Over the course of 10 weeks the residents and children from a local junior school work together to create a 15-20 minute version of a Shakespeare play, which is later performed in front of family and friends.
